William W. Bivin was licensed to practice law in Texas in 1972 and recently
celebrated his
35th anniversary of opening his original Kingwood law office.
Mr. Bivin limits his practice to bankruptcy and business transactions. A great
majority of his bankruptcy practice is debtor consumer bankruptcy consisting
of chapter 7 and 13 matters. Mr. Bivin also represents business debtors in
chapters 7
bankruptcy and 13 reorganization bankruptcy.

Mr. Bivin received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and
Economics at the University of Houston and his law degree from the University
of Houston. He s
tarted attending State Bar of Texas Advanced Consumer
Bankruptcy Course
s in 1997. Mr. Bivin completed the National Association of
Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Bankruptcy Practice Workshop entitled
“Fighting Back: Helping Debtors Survive the New Bankruptcy Law” in
Chicago, Illinois
in 2005 and since then he has annually attended continuing
legal education in bankruptcy offered by NACBA, the University of Texas, the
Universityof Houston and the State Bar of Texas.
Mr. Bivin has been a speaker
on bankruptcy issues at the Northeast Harris County Bar Association.

Mr. Bivin is licensed to practice law in all Texas courts and in the United States
District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of
Texas.

Attorneys, the Houston Association of C
