William W. Bivin was licensed to practice law in Texas in 1972 and recently
celebrated his
31st anniversary of opening his original Kingwood law office.
Mr. Bivin limits his practice to bankruptcy and business transactions. A great
majority of his bankruptcy practice is debtor consumer bankruptcy consisting
of chapter 7 and 13 matters. Mr. Bivin also represents business debtors in
chapters 7, 11, and 13 matters.

Mr. Bivin received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and
Economics at the University of Houston and his
law degree from the University
of Houston. He has attend each State Bar of Texas Advanced Consumer
Bankruptcy Course since 1997. Mr. Bivin completed the National Association
of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Bankruptcy Practice Workshop entitled
“Fighting Back: Helping Debtors Survive the New Bankruptcy Law” in
Chicago, Illinois and the National Convention in New Orleans(2006) and
Philadelphia(2007).
Mr. Bivin has been a speaker on bankruptcy issues at the
Northeast Harris County Bar Association.


Mr. Bivin is licensed to practice law in all Texas courts and in the United States
District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of
Texas.

Mr. Bivin is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy
Attorneys, the Houston Association of Debtor Attorneys,
and the Bankruptcy
Section of the State Bar of Texas
